    Round 3 cross

Hello guys, i accidentally come across this interesting cross!
Last week i was in Canada for my business and in a small antique shop i saw this R3 in a display full of every kind of stuff :-)
The core is magnetic and is moving inside the frame. I had a check on previus threads and it looks like a beveled-corner, is this correct?
Too bad somebody tried to clean it up the core from some little rust... almost ruined all the paint...
I decided to take it anyway, i was missing the R3 variant and at the end it's still a decent EK.
    Cheers,
    Stefano

      ciao Stefano
secondo me una tipica Deschler credo thick version ma basta misurarla dovrebbe essere 5 mm. La data 1813 è tipica non solo per l' 1 ma perchè non in linea, il 18 rimane più alto che il 13.

Nice find. I'll bet you were excited when you saw it. Yes, it is a beveled-edge round 3.

When the paint is missing you can really see how sharply detailed the iron core is.

so true, even if light the paint soften all the lines like a snow effect.

                Ciao Fabri, tutto bene?
you're right, i didn't notice before and i realized how the numbers 18 and 13 are quite out of line... interesting!
The thickness of the cross is about 4 mm, but i don't have a precise instrument to do the job... and it has the slightly rounded corners like the beleved version.
                Grazie!
                Stefano

It sure is Stefano! Has that "been there" look. Do you mind getting close up pics on the numbers for the R3 core study?
