Hello Peter
in my opinion original and uncommon iron cross. I don't know who is the manufacturer and I 've never seen this stamp on ring. At today all Junckers I have seen are unmarked and different than your cross. Maker on ring was stamped on welding ? It 's all I can say, hope others have more infos..
P.S. I want to say an heresy, a madness : may be the stamp is letter Z

There are a few of these surfacing now . Looks like we had a simular cross 2 or 3 days ago with no mark . THis cross is not a normal Juncker or W&L but strangly has some elements of both . Have to look into these more closely with good pictures ... the top bead count does not match to be re-worked Juncker or W&L die !! The mark ... which I consider a "Z" and is not a 2 !
I see substantial die wear on the shallow made frame die and heavy wear on the core . An unusual wear combination which to me indicates bought componants from different makers ? Later war appearance with no 'veining' but seems to have a pre-plated core ???
Now 2 or 3 members I think have crosses with this Z Type mark on them , can't remember if the frame is the same . Off to work right now .
You guys are killing me with this photography! I get used to looking at these awesome photos and then when I look at a real medal I can't see s&@t without my magnafying glass! Keep up the good work!
Hello Peter! As you know I had a mm Juncker EK2 for a while ago. The mm was stamped under the ring on patinan. But not whit 2,some other cofusing marks.
But that was a real mm Juncker, sorry no pics, dissapered when my PC crashed. Check whit Oliver G,if you knew him. He is very good on Junckers.
Best Regards
Magnus
