KVK1 marked L/15

Hi guys I can't find a photo of a L/15 late war KVK1. This one looks good but I am not sure ,Any help would be great. Thanks in advance David R.

I won´t conceal that there is controvery about L/15 marked awards in general, but I am of the belief that this type KVK you show with the oval plates is original. Here is one that Mike Dunn posted some time ago:

Frank, are you saying that the cross above is original? I disagree. They were covered in a magazine article a few years ago and are known fakes.

As I said, I am personally convinced they are very likely good. Despite the Floch resemblance. If it is indeed a fake it is not a new one, I have seen these for a long time.

Some more below, make up your own minds. Articles often do not neccessarily speak the truth, I learned. They are just another opinion that could also be voiced here. The fact that it is written on paper means nothing.

I am going to agree with Frank. These pieces have been around for a long time and they are made of zinc. There are fake L15 KVK's but they do not look like this type.

Note the Tombak or bronze plating under silver finish. This bronze plating is over the zinc to allow for better adhesion of the silver.

The reverse does not seem to have this bronze plating and the zinc has dulled the silver a bit more.
