          Wisch

I wonder how Kai Winkler attributed this set to Th. Wisch, when his original auction on Feb. 7, 1997 listed only a post-war piece Wisch wore after 1945. (Lot no. 6002 - Hanseatisches Auktionshaus)

It was listed at DEM 750,-- back then and was closed either at this or a slightly higher price.

There were no oakleaves and swords in the group.

After he was wounded at Falaise, he spent the last months of the war in hospital. Never got a prelim. swords document nor telegram. Nothing.
Not to speak of the boxed swords....

Recently an SS officer's cap was for sale as well, attributed to Wisch with the exact same letter as above. Wisch's son however wrote me that there were no caps in the group... so much for that and other attributed crosses.

Interesting that the auction describes a K&Q cross and this one is an S&L!

Because Winkler can attribute just about anything to just about anyone! That´s why!
