    Hi Trevor,

I was curious as to whether or not the bottom of the case was marked. I called about an hour ago and they told me some major collector from Europe 'who was selling his entire collection' bought it. The bottom of the case was unmarked.

I've purchased from them in the past and found them extremely easy to deal with. I have never had to return anything I ever bought from them so I can't comment on that.

      Thanks Robert.

I had this one on hold. I asked if it was marked, they told me no. Then 8 minutes lapsed and I got an email saying:
      Trevor,
I need to hear back from you soon. I have 3 other people who want this badge.
This happens to me every time with Black Cross Militaira. I'm quick enough to get something on hold. Then I get the hard sell: "make a decision now, others are interested." Given that they sell a lot of fakes (Flochs, a "jewelers copy" of golden oakleaves with diamonds, etc.) and have no stated return policy (that I can find), I always post the item for an opinion first. If too much time goes by without a , they pressure me to make a decision. Two weeks ago I got two emails within 12 minutes telling me I had to decide on an item. Under these circumstances, I always pass. Why would I take the chance? Personally I don't think it's any way to do business.

Anyone else have this experience, or do they just not like me?
      Best regards,
      Streptile

          Trevor,

I can understand how frustrated you've become trying to deal with them, especially since it's been a repeated experience. Certainly one would expect them to 'hold their horses' on a high-end item like a KC or DK. I usually pick up desirable EKII's, so it's pretty straight forward for me. If it's any consolation I telephone them and talk directly with them about the item. But, in your case I can understand you wanted the set 'proven' before purchase. It is the better way in a lot of cases.

            Hi Trevor,

I've only ever bought one item from them in the past and the transaction from start to finish went just fine with no drama or hassle.

Don't worry though mate, you'll be able to attain one of these very LDO cased EK2 sets, and contrary to popular misconception they are not rare - just bloody expensive for what is essentially money spent on a case.

Yes, I know, and I do tell myself that. Thanks Robert. I may try calling them up the next time. I've lost out on a few good items after the "hard sell" emails force a decision, and it does annoy me, frankly. They're always basically polite, but who ever heard of a place that won't hold an item for an hour or two for a customer? If there's a queue of people waiting to buy it now, they'll be there 2 hours from now as well.

I do wonder if anyone else has had this experience with them?

By the way, nice unintentional case puns:

Thanks Marcus. This set was very nicely priced ($365 for those of you who missed the price, including the minty '100' marked W&L, which obviously didn't come with the case as it's PKZ marked). I wish I had gotten it, but honestly I don't really like being forced to make a decision. I'm just smarting from it now, and I'm sure tomorrow I'll be on to the next thing.

                Thanks!
                Best regards,
