Is that one from Schulze's recent update? Ooh, I wanted that one too. Very nice find either way.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'd post this in Cases and Packets. I know Allan and Marcus know their packets.
        Best regards,

          Yes it is!
I suppose it's too much to hope there was an award with it.......?

If it's the one from Markus Schulze, there was.

We've known about this maker for some years now, if look at old threads of ours it has to five plus years at least!

Several guys have these with the awards in, some are wrapped in tissue and are lovely sets - I'm not sure if mine had the tissue or not with it, but a cross certainly.

I bought this package before with a couple of months. I did not find a cross in the package unfortunately ( I will hunt on a Wilhelm Hammesfahr cross, naturally.
Very interesting, that a WWI bayonet marker made some Iron Crosses and possibly other badges in the World War II, too.
                  Thanks your opinions!

                  regards Gabor

                    Hi Gabor,

Because Hammesfahr's name is on the packet, doesn't mean that he made the cross. Maybe he bought the crosses from a known EKII maker and also bought packets where he or the manufacturer printed his name on. This way Hammesfahr didn't have to sent a customer away, that was interested in a EKII. This could also explain the case that there is no manufacturer number for Hammesfahr. We have seen this before with another maker.

                    Kind regards, Thomas

Ohh thanks the info, so I undertand it! I will to get on the next week an unmarked cross with a Carl Forster & Graf, Schwabish-Gmund blue package. I don't found this marker between the all number markers. I will to load it, when I will to get.
I think, the same one will be the situation with this cross, too.

                      Have a nice weekend!

                      regards Gabor

Which maker is that Thomas? Or do you mean the affiliations between makers - I think there are a ''few'' in deliberation surounding that.

The thing is we don't know all the makers of the EK2, the list's in books are incomplete and as to date have yet to be amended with the inclusion of certain other makers. I think matching the PKZ numbers and the maker is part of the problem.

Just because a company - if indeed it is the one in the same - produced bayonets in WW1 mean's little or nothing. They could have made pots and pans and curtain rings inbetween the wars, or both and........?

Other award makers made other items from say: belt buckles to I believe car/motorcycle badges.

                          Gabor,

Be careful buying these 'sets' as a hoard of packets were found with NO crosses, I'm only aware of one purported genuine set; as it were

I think it's more often than not the case that unmarked crosses of a description are 'married' with these packets. Well, that's my opinion.
