Hi guys,
I was able to pick up a nice and rare Schinkel "B" type (as classified and shown by Gordon in his book "The Iron Cross of 1939", page 65).
This cross is closest to the Schinkel design and has straighter angled arms.
It also has a round three, stippled core, the little ring sits on a frame-hump and is only soldered on on the obverse side, reverse is left open. The big ring is also very unusual, it has been silvered and is also open.
Does anybody of us have one of those for comparison?
Cheers, Frank
