    restoring GC enamel

Keep in mind I never liked repainted dagger scabbards or "parts" tunics personally, saw them as lesser value than if left "as is."

But would a damaged (enamel chunk gone) from a GC in Gold be better "as is" or restored if that type of enamel craftsman can be found ?

I have a 4 rivit, 134 marked GC with above trait. Only real flaw in the item. As a vet buy and planning on asking $1,000 for it, am I better off leaving it as is ?

Or worth more restored if I can find someone with the skills ? I've seen some well done but no idea what the task costs.

Restoring would make the price go up as I'd have to absorb restoration costs.

I'd think this slightly different than repainting Iron Crosses, being the only major combat award with such a large enamel area.

I dont think anyone would pay more for a DKiG thats been fiddled with, no matter what one skill has.... but thats my opinion, I would leave it as is...
