          Hey Russel. What is it you need help with, exactly? The numbers tell you the makers, and they both look good to me. The Orth looks like it uses a Souval frame and core, which I understand was not unknown.
          Best regards,

            Who are the makers, going by the numbers on the back. Thanks for your help.

              6 = Fritz Zimmermann
              15 = FO or Friedrich Orth

                Hello,

                Makers can be found in several locations on the site. Here is one...

                http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron...ironcross1.htm

                While I agree that the 15 is made with a Souval frame I think the core is Orth. Have you a close view of the date? Is the 3 lower set than the 19_9? If so it's called a Dipping or Dipped 3 and made by Souval. If not it's Orth. Both combinations are fine as Souval and Orth shared parts. The other reason I think it's an Orth core is because it has a thin swas. A Souval core has a thicker swas.

                Pease let us know. I'm not as sharp eyed as I once was.

                Regards,
                Stu

                  Thank you for your help everyone. The 3 is in line with the other numbers.
