    New EKI Spange

I just received this EKI Spange marked L/13 in zinc. Overall it appears to be very worn as you can see from the pictures, but still shows signs of the silver finish. The measurements (mm) are:

    31.31 High
    43.94 Wide
    3.03 Thick

    Weight: 12 grams

    Comments appreciated. Jim

    Love that one, Jim.

These Meybauers came with more than one style of pinback, right?

The patina is very nice also.

    Congratulations.
    Best regards,
    Streptile

hmmm, this is mine now (somehow)
          and I smell a rat

Jim, what did you think when you had it?
I'm thinking someone's banging out sharp looking aged zinc L/13s... EKs, clasps etc
          regards

I've seen either this one or another one exactly like it somewhere else. I remember passing because of the excessive wear to the head.

Not a surprise I guess, but I do not like this Spange.

                    Spange

Jon, I sold it as I already had a zinc, but I had an email from a member recently from another forum saying that it was a fake, because of the head being so worn and he was seeing to many looking like this. Jim

I just found pics of one on Weitze's site, same worn head, same aging, same hardware
and just received a tip to yet another! same worn head etc
                      how depressing...

what about your EK2 L/13 zincer? on the other thread...
                      regards
