    Deschler Hoard EK2

    Hi Everyone,

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts re. the mark on this Deschler EK2. Is it a weak stamp? Or does it run across the ring rather than along it? Or something else entirely?

Incidentally, finish is present in the recess of the mark.

    Thanks for looking.

    All the best,
    Toby.

d (camera flash has made the mark on the packet a little blown-out)

Nice cross ! on mine the maker mark runs down the length of the ring not across, but this is totally fine

The marks I've seen have run up the ring, not across, but it looks fine. I have one of these sets and they're nice.

                      I agree with others members.
Never seen another stamp like this, always along the lenght of the ring.
                      Lovely mint set !

                          Toby,

A very nice example! And, this is the first example I have seen with the stamp running perpendicular with the ring. I'm sure if we were to ask for an inventory of every ring stamped in this manner there would be others. It looks absolutely fine.

Beauty, typical Deschler EK2. Everything should be like it...
