LoL, I can not believe they ever gave this one to somebody, they would have made jokes forever with the recipient. This gives the phrase "how it's hanging" a whole new perspective.

                Fantastic!

                A KVK collector's dream.

Is the swastika also upside down?

I would imagine it doesnt have a mark, or does it, so....swas would be still have points to the right ...correct? Might end up like the upside down airmail stamp , a first for me to ever see. Doesnt appear to be a repro. Id say rare work by a dislexic empoyee possibly?

I seem to see more unmarked KVK's than marked versions, so i think you may find out who made it by comparison possibly. No one seems to have done anything on typical maker differences in unmarked versions yet...or have they?
Did you notice it before you bought it that it was upside down, or did you just find out by suprise after you bought it? Still i think it is way cool.

I found one some yrars back with the ring missing (mark where it used to be was still there), but it appeared to be gold plated or possibly some other metal unless someone had one made in gold. But i doubt that. It has no brass smell, and where it is scratched it looks gold in the scratch. If you are interested to see it i can add it here or post it by itself as i just came across it..

Surprized that was not noticed , .... nice one to have in any case . The other side looks the same when upside down and the Swas must have been facing up when attaching the rings . One that slipped through . I have seen others this had happen to , .. .. just by the solder and file marks where the ring was once attached at the bottom !!! If every member would look at the ones they have , someone may have a ' fixed up ' one and does not even know it ! As millions of these awards were made ... why keep or repair faultyones at all ???
