    War Merit Cross 2

    Hi all!
Can I have your opinions on this one please. I am pretty sure its a good one, just want some second opinions too.
    Thank you!

I don't know if this is of any real concern, but I see non-uniformity in the widths of the arm edges. Should we expect to see better uniformity in this common award, or is this OK?

Such non-uniformities may occur. Is there any makers mark on it?
Also, I´d like to get a closer view of the "1939" and like to add, that the "frame" around the crosses´ arms look a bit wide.

Check out one of mine for comparisation.

And another topic with some photos for comparisation:

Considering the details mentioned by R.R, I´ll hesitate to take yours as an original. Also, I find the leaves strage.

      Best regards,
      Kimb.

Interesting cross. It might be me, but the swastika looks really fat.

your right Andy, the swastica does look oversized and "FAT". It also come all the way out to the edges of the wreath, making it look even bigger.

I don't see too much wrong with the cross. It was a mass produced item by many different makers and you can't expect total uniformity with every piece.
Looking at the EK world, you'll find fat swastikas, thin ones, wide frames, thick frames, mis-stamped frames, all sorts of variations so with these awards being even more common I wouldn't worry too much if you find one that isn't the 'perfect' specimen.

Years ago eBay offered lots (50 per auction) of buntmetal KVKII's without ribbons on their auction block. They were reproductions with no maker marks, and had poor design characteristics.

No, I never kept any files from the auctions.

                      It's my KVK2 for comparation.

I'm not sure about this one, I don't had see another with this flat swastika and width frame. There is a strange flaw under the left arm too.
