    Hi gentlemann

The cross itself looks like a S&L ? There are these packets around . All I have seen of this maker have had a different font on them . The first one of that type that some how does not look right . I can't say ... Grueni/Daniel is a expert on EK2 packets . E. S. did make Mother Cross packets , but the font is different to this one .

            Hi Douglas,

Most makers have different MM stamps. Here another Eugen Schmidhäussler on a Schutzwall packet. I don't have a bigger picture of it. Here the MM is E. Schmid......

            Kind regards, Thomas

                Hi Gerner,

I don't know if the cross and packet do not belong together? Most EKII's are unmarked, so maybe this is a nice unmarked #28?

Douglas things it is a #4 Steinhauer & Lück, I'm not close to my #4 so can not check it.

Use the search function and look at some S&L's. Maybe another member will back up Douglas his thought or give another possible maker.

                Good luck!

                Kind regards, Thomas

ps. I like the cross, looks really nice

Gerner : The tough part about unmarked crosses and packets ? Do they belong together .... without getting them from the receipient very hard to know . By itself that cross would go as an unmarked S&L . The other things is that S&L did supply parts to other smaller companies -mostly in high numbers- and they assembled and sent them out in their own company stamped (some even unstamped) packets .

The cross is a nice one : A 2nd frame 3rd core variant silver plated still would mean probably mid war . The frame die feature that tells us the maker .
