two (2) unmarked EK2 makers ?

Hi Guys,
I've got these two unmarked EK2, wondered if we could figure out who the makers are? Getting ready to trade them off, but possible new owner would like to know, number one, are they real, and who the makers may be. The first one has a stiple effect on core, second one is flat.

I suspect the first ek2 to be an early S&L, but I'm not 100% sure

Both look like they are S&L type frames, the second example having a slightly mis-stamped frame.

Yes the first one is an earlier S&L 2nd frame 1st core variant and the 2nd cross probably a 3rd frame die >> one of those S&L sold parts crosses as the core is different .
