Being very new to knights crosses I found it a bit frustrating to go through the entire forum trying to find decent pictures of the different types so here is my (hopefully not too lame attempt) to gather them up into a family album.
I have ONLY linked to photos that are already attachments on WAF threads, I have not put any links to pictures on sale threads as I don't know how long the pictures will last there, also I have not linked to anybody's flickr, dealer or photobucket sites as the reliability of those links are questionable at best (how many times have you gone to a great discussion thread and seen no pictures! )
I have also added a small credit to the (then) owners of the crosses and tried my best to put the forum's decision of what type and make the cross ultimately is. Invariably though, due to Dietrich's reference being predominant these days, the type is based on the types defined in his book.
Please note their are no crosses here that are regarded as reproduction or fake. There are too many, unnamed examples in circulation to make this exercise worthwhile. It is far easier to put good photos of proven pre-war examples on this thread.
My goal is to capture all the clearest and prettiest pictures of RKs ever posted here to provide a concise location for first timers to compare their future purchases against.
Feel free to put NEW (= never seen before) pictures on here but please let me do the linking to the old/existing pictures as we may get double ups.
