              Hello Eric,

Yes, that's a very fine looking Souval EKII.

Have a look at these "Souval" points...

              1. Rounded inner beading by swas.
              2. Extended centre bead in each of the eight arm corners.
              3. Die flaw connecting the #2-3-4 beads along the top of the 12 o'clock arm.
              4. Jump ring only soldered to frame on obverse.

              Regards,
              Stu

No problems with this cross Eric, a good, original example.

                  Correct me if I´m wrong...

If it is a post war Souval it would have so called "dipping 3" on the the 1939 ?

I would like to see profile photo of that ribbon ring eye at the top of the Cross.

Strange how the ring is not connected to the frame on the reverse.

Isn't that "clawlike" beading at the 10 o'clock inner beading, atypical?

I don't think I've veer seen that before.

                      Bob.
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....

My understanding is that you will only find the Dipping 3 on a Souval core (as opposed to the Orth core type) in an EKI. I've had a number of them and never yet found a Dipped 3 in an EKII.

                        Regards,
                        Stu

That is typical of every Souval EKII I have seen. If you do a search on them you will see many examples.

                            Hi Bob,

That is interesting but I think it's simply an issue of quality control (or lack thereof) with the finishing. It does not alter my opinion that this is an authenic cross. Were you thinking otherwise or just remarking on the unusual feature? Let me know.

                            Best Regards,
                            Stu

Just an observation that it was something that I'd never seen, before....You might be right about the feature...
