        The beading on this example is the most heavily flawed I can remember seeing on a round three.

          Thanks for the input. Were round 3's made by different makers, or just one? Can anyone tell me what maker this one is? It is the thickest EK2 I have ever held.

            At the moment I only know Deschler pieces.
            But I believe Juncker and Wiedmann produced rounded 3's as well.

                Nice cross HC :
                The one I have seams to have the same frame . The date on mine is much lower on the front and the date on the back sits just about right on the beading .
                Therefor a few questions . Does your core move at all ? My core has a thick ridge on the edge protruding into the beading - that prevents only minimal movement of the core . The amount of play is so minimal that I cannot get the date that high . Can you see any core edging on yours ?
                Of interest is a closeup of the area in red ... in peticular the date !
