        I think you got this wrong, wasn't the Pkz number for issued RK's and the LDO-number for privately purchased RK's only? Am i missing something here?

          It appears I was incorrect, however, it seems there was no hard and fast rules with RKs as these were handled differently. Here's what the "Iron Time" by Previtera has to say about it.

              FYI - it's not all that uncommon to find Luft badges with the owner's name scratched on the reverse. EKI's sometimes have this, too, so doesn't bother me, but as said, who knows for sure if this was done last week or 70 years back.
