Screwback Unmarked EK1, is this a Floch fake?

    Hello,

What are your opinions on this EK1? I saw it for sale on one of the sponsor websites (http://www.brentsantiques.com/cgi-bi...y_Item.asp?733). It looks like a Floch fake to me, but I need second opinions as I am not very knowledgeable with EKs. And I've read that a couple makers also had the low date.

    Thanks,
    Rylan

                Oh yes, definitely a Floch.

Would it be possible for us to start calling these the "Floch stück Scheisse, mit Schraubscheibe"? (Floch piece of s*&t, with screwback)

I discussed this particular piece outside of the forum with 2 members and they were in agreement it was NOT authentic.

                    Screwback EK

                    Hello,
Everyone is correct this is a very common fake from the late 70's early 80's. These crosses were all over the gunshows back in the day.

                    Regards,
                    Jody

                      Jody,
They are still "all over" the place. These can be also be found with the bogus L/21 mark. With or without the retaining pin at the top of the cross.

                        Hi Chet,
I am sure that they are. I just don't look out for those things anymore.

                        Regards,
