I really enjoy pieces with the; "been there, I have a story to tell", look and feel. Pieces like yours exhibit more character than minty un-issued looking pieces, IMO.

Came off a dealer who bought the collection of an old collector who i think had sadly passed away. There was a full list & he had noted down which of his items had been bought off veterans. This was one of them. The dealer wasn't 100% sure on some of the German items so went with the veteran bought ones first.
This one looks to have been worn at all times

Err.....yeah, was watching it on an auction site when it dissapeared. Contacted the seller to ask why & someone had made an offer. He said i could make an offer too. So i did. There's probably a moral to this story....... Damned if i know what it is though!
