    KC of KVK Souval?

Is this a Souval KVK? It is marked 800 at the suspension ring and has traces of gold on it. It seems quite heavy also. Did Souval make these during the war? Came out of an antique mall and cost almost nothing. I just wanted to know more about who made it or if anyone has seen one like this.

Wish I could help more, but I know Souval made some very high quality (really very nice) copies of these postwar. The ones I have seen are much thicker than a normal cross. I don't believe they made these during the war, but that information could be wrong. I've seen the L/58 stamp used as well as the silver mark.

Looks like they filed it in a couple spots to test to see if its really silver. If its soft, its not, but if its silver, and was cheap, Id say you done good as far as the value of the silver content anyway. Its nice looking , so you need to take it to a real show, and have it checked out in hand by an expert you trust. A great display item regardless. Hope springs eternal. if everyone wants to buy it , that should give you an indication you may have a good one. This is my favorite german neck order of ww2 next to the RK..the best stuff i ever boought was the cheapest priced.
