    EK1 Sternscheibe - EK1 Sternscheibe - Hot or Flop ?

    Hello ;-)

It is hard to make pictures, to get the same impression, how I see it with my eyes! In my hand it always looks better! I think eyes make better pictures as my digicam!

What do you see ? Hot or Flop ?

    Deutsch: Echt oder schlecht ?

Stefan, have you ever considered to do a forum-search for yourself instead of just opening one thread after another on every cross you obtain?

Usually you can find a lot of pics to compare to because usually your crosses are marked.
This type of cross has been posted a number of times as well, and should not be to hard to find either

    regards,
    Ben

      Hello Ben ;-)

Is it wrong to share pictures of every cross I obtaine?

I like my hobby, collecting EK1 and I poste my new entries in five different forums, to learn as much as possible ;-)
To get a lot of differnt opinions is my biggest benefit ;-)

Of course, on ervery cross I submitte, I have an opinion ;-) And it is also not a problem to find out which maker is behind the cross - e.g. Deumer ;-)

But I hope I'm welcome to show my next new entries, even if I know it is original ;-)

          Stefan,

I surely appreciate your professional photos. They've been a good aid in teaching me the finer detailing of the various makers of crosses (which I don't own as of yet), which are lost in small or dimly lit photos.

                  Everyone keep Posting!

I don't want to offend anyone. I thought the Forum was for posting and discussing badges, Good or bad. I know a advanced collector can get bored look at the same old thing and answering the same questions over and over. This is how we all learn. I want the best reference and these pictures are a part of that.

Ben, you are a Life Time member and we look to you for your expertise. Should you get tired of a member asking the same thing over and over don't open the thread.

Membership posts are the Forum. We would have nothing to look at without them. Everyone keep Posting!

                  Dennis

                    Ben has a point...

                    5tefan,

I think that if you read your post carefully you will realize Ben has a point. I do not discourage anyone from displaying their items or asking for assistance but one should do some homework with the search feature first if it's authenticity assistance they seek.

You asked for opinions on authenticity...

"What do you see ? Hot or Flop ?"

When Ben commented you came back with this...

"Of course, on ervery cross I submitte, I have an opinion ;-) And it is also not a problem to find out which maker is behind the cross - e.g. Deumer"

Well if you have an opinion why not just state it and give some reasoning to support it? Others will know you have made an effort and respond in kind. No need for the guessing games.

                    As far as this goes...

"OK it seems to be, I'm not welcome!
                    I assign!
Hope you get more interesting threads than my ;-(

                    I'm tierd, sorry!
                    Over And Out !!! "

...is that really how you wish to be remembered here?

                    Regards,
                    Stu

                      The cross

In any case, as you said it is a (beautiful) Deumer, and I'd be very happy to own it.

In a way I understand Bens reaction. Stefan is posting his things in four or five different forums and always asks for an opinion although he knows exactly weather the cross is good or not or by whom it was made. That is a bit boring for me too, because I think Stefan never has an intention to start an interesting thread where someone really can learn.
Threads like this remind me of "look what I got" and should better be posted in the collector's display forum.

                        Greetings,

                        Stefan

I agree with the above from StefanK and StuW! I have seen 5tefan get mad too when things do not go his way!
                          My 2 Cents!

I have nothing to add here.
I have a personal opinion, but somethimes it is better just to ignore something.

I only hope that I misunderstand Ben's words. Because how I understand it, a lot of knowledge in this section would be lost again.

                            Regarding the cross:
The only thing that makes me think is that all the clamshells I have had were as frosted as the cross itself.
On these pictures with artificial light, I don't see any frosting traces on the Clamshell.

Could you take it outside and photograph it in natural daylight? Take the photos on a cloudy day or in the shade. This will get you better light and easyer for us here to help you.

The cross appears to me to be original, but the clamshell might not be original to this particular cross.
