    Iron cross brooch ID

    Hi, I have this small badge with an iron cross in the middle, is this an issued badge or just a sweetheart pin, penny is to show scale. Any ideas/help appreicated, cheers, Rick

      It's patriotic jewellry or sweetaheart jewellry. I would hazard a guess that it's WW1 also, unless I'm missing something on the photo.

          Maybe a 57 issue, but who knows if they had such a thing then. Maybe it showed the rear of a 1914 EK.

            I believe its a top for a veterans badge with the ribbon hanging from the top like this one. Usually the ribbons state the area, and pertinent information. A comemorative of sorts pin like an encampment medal for the GAR, but german, and a little different. I have half a dozen different of these types complete somewhere. This may be before turn of the century?
