    KVK II okey?

    Hi,

Anybody know if there are high quality fakes of the KVK II with swords?
I recently got a mint one. It looks absolutely stunning.
    Its mm 65.

    BUT

It is lighter than my zink mm 55, thinner and has more detail.

    Anybody has a mm 65?

Are these even faked at all?

see it is thinner. it shows most on the left and right arms.
The eichenlaub (laurel-ring) is less wide. It has more detail than the zink item.
The 1939 looks different. but is suppose that is normal. (different makers)

swastica side: There is a tiny flaw on the left sword, left "handle". (sorry bad english)
Like a smal part of the rim broke off.

I see nothing wrong with the "65" kvk. Looks like a perfectly good cross. There are differences in the crosses depending on the time frame they were made in (early vs late war) and material used.
I have had one fake kvk2 w/swords, it had decent detail, but was half again as thin as the one you posted (quite obviously fake in hand). I'll try and find pics of it (if I still have 'em).

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I can only echo what Andy has said, it is a genuine example made by Klein & Quenzer (65) in excellent condition.
These awards are faked but can generally be found out by overall lack of quality.

Also, your English is better than my Belgian!

            2 good ones.

the one left is zinc, the other one is Buntmetall

              You guys make my day!
              Thank you very much.
I know its not exactly a knightscross, but still...
Glad to hear its fine and as mint as it gets.

Nice to hear the low weight, is no problem. It doesnt bend or break and detail is definatly high for this type of award.

Is there a list somewhere where i can check the mm's for these?

PS: Most of us speak Dutch btw :-)
