    1939 EK2 Spange Prinzengroße - Opinions Please

I have this Prinzengroße 1939 Spange in my collection.
I am interested in opinions regarding authenticity. It's unmarked.
It was attached to a length of 25mm 1914 EK2 ribbon which in my view is clearly period. I've pried it off very carefully in order to photograph it.
The first picture simply shows measurements:

The other photos are quite large...but the piece is quite small! I want to emphasize that the lens of the camera caused a few distortions which are not present on the spange. For example, it is flat although the wingtips seem a bit curved outward:

    Nice details, I think:

    A side-ish view

...and another. There's a slight "seam" around parts of the outer edge that concerns me a bit:

    Two vertical separately applied prongs:

    Cut-off ends:

So what do you all think? Opinions are very welcome.
    Thanks,
    Trevor
    Best regards,

I believe I have the same two-prong spange, which was judged awhile back as a Deumer. The lighting on my photo is hiding the 'smile' that is present on yours, but here inhand it is there also. I think it's a match.

Sorry to ask the obvious, Robert, but is yours also a Prinzen? And with the same measurements? Thank you for posting it. And out of curiosity, is your attached to a cross?

Prinzen, same measurements, attached to a cross.

Very nice, thank you. My Spange is "solo," on a 25mm ribbon, as mentioned. I've often thought about attaching it to a cross, but I've never so far "put together" a cross set in this way, and it seems a bit disingenuous. Is that kind of thing generally frowned upon in the collectors' community?

              Hi Trevor
very nice, 100% authentic, and as Robert says: a Deumer (although always unmarked, but we're all pretty much agreed)
Displayed on a cross is a nice idea. Although it would've been more likely on a medal bar, or ribbon
              regards

Thank you, Jon and Robert. Good to know.

I beleive I also have a fake version of this Prinzen Spange - identifiable by its muddy detail and different finish. Seems to be a direct cast of this one.

I'm slowly going through and posting my collection for opinions!
                Best regards,
                Streptile
