In Dietrich's KC book he describes general measurements as 20mm tall, 9mm wide, and wire dia. of 1.5 to 1.6. Pages 21 and 22 if you have the book.

I don't have the book but the loop I have matches all those dimensions, does that alone make it original?

Could be an loop from an Steinhauer&Lueck. The finish of the loop looks like one of the photos from Dietrichs book.
