    Ek 2 "55"

Hi everyone, i have a small collection of EKs and this is my first set of picture on the forum, please don't treat me too bad
I have a couple of "55" maker but this one is smaller than usual EK 2 dimensions, i mean just 1 o 2 mm. The frame is very dark, i guess silvered and the center is magnetic. What do you think about?
    Thanks,
    Stefano

        Hi Stefano,
Welcome to the forum and for participating.
Your EK is a good, original example of a J. E .Hammer & Sohne.

          Same here

Not mint, what everyone seems to want nowadays, but an honest uncleaned EK2.
This is how I like to see EK's

Thanks a lot guys, a good welcome i would say.
so it doesn't make any difference the smaller size, is this a particularity of this maker?
I will surly post some more pictures in the next days, i have many others to show and ask!

              If you have a Deschler,
You will notice it is around 45mm.
Some are a litlle smaller, and some are a litlle bigger.

But the mm55 shoud be close to 44 mm.

I got it Luud, thanks so much. I did a couple of more pictures of the two "55" in comparison. You'll see on the left the new one and on the right the one alredy shown. I couldn't remember but the bigger one is even better, i mean uncleaned... and yes tha's the way i like it too

Hi Adrian, forgive my stupid question, when you measure the cross from top to bottom you do not consider the small attached ring, right?

I am sure that he didn't measure with the small ring, Or the size would be much more!
Around 44mm is a standard size!

I made a quick picture to show you that different sizes exist.

                          The Schinkel is 43mm,
                          The mm6 44mm (like yours)
The Deschler is 45mm (I now see that I used an EK1, but that doesn't maen a difference)
                          The Ubergrosse is 47mm

I don't have such a professional measure equipment as Adrian

Luud your dispay and explanation is fantastic and very clear to me.
I think i have some variation to show you guys... just leave me the time to take a picture
