    EK family photo!

    Hello All...

I recently got most of my crosses out for a group photograph (or two).
I thought you guys might like to see the results... Hope you like them as much as I do!

I bought my first EK2 about 3 years ago - a 'KO' marked Imperial (2nd cross in on bottom left), thinking it would be cool to have a 'real' iron cross.... little did I know that this would happen... the count is now over 60!! (with a lot of help from the estand!)

Apart from 2 of the cased EK1's and 2 of the Imperial EK2's, they are all maker marked.

Of the 1939 EK2's in the pictures, here are a list of the makers.
(Apologies for the lack of umlauts, but if anyone can tell me the keystroke for them in Mac OSX I would be delighted as I've tried everything!!)

          Greeeat! Sweet pictures.

Which maker does the 7rd cross (from left) in the second row, 3rd picture have? The cross has a blank swastica.

Hold option, press "u". This gives you the umlaut. Then press whatver letter you want accented by it. For example, "option" + "u" then "o" = ö.

Very nice collection, too. Do you have some variants in there? Ubergroße? Schinkel? etc.

            Trevor

            PS: "option" + "s" = ß
            Best regards,

Thanks for the kind comments everyone!

                Allan -
                the packets are all marked:
                Grossmann & Co., Wien (11)
                L. Chr. Lauer, Nurnberg-W (14)
                J.E. Hammer & Sohne, Geringswalde (55)

                streptile -
Thanks for the info on the umlauts, but that method worked fine in OS9 but all I get now in OSX is an accent. ie. ú
No ubergroße, but a Schinkel and a 'Round 3'

                StefanK -
I think the cross you are refering to is the one with the paint missing from the swastika - that is a one-piece Schinkel.
