    EK MMs

Hey all. I know there is a stickied post about EK MMs but as I looked over it I didn't see Schinkel listed as a maker. Can anyone tell me what number Schinkel was. I would like to get one sometime as I know they are rather popular but I don't know what to look for! I've been told the arms of the cross are more narrow, but without side by side pics of another EK it's hard for me to judge still. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I noticed on all these examples there were no MMs, or at least didn't appear to be. Is this common for Schinkels or did they have a MM and I just can't seem to find it in the sticky post?

        Ryan,

Keep in mind that "Schinkle" or "Schinkel" is a type or pattern of cross and not a Maker's name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Friedrich_Schinkel was an architect who designed the EK in 1813.

Search in Crosses of the Wehrmacht forum section using both Schinkel and Schinkle and you will find a tremendous amount of information.

        Best,

          Best,
Wow...don't I feel like an idiot. Thanks for being so patient Mike....I feel like a total MORON now but it makes a LOT more sense after you explained that. I had never heard anyone use the name in that context and so I just always assumed Schinkel was a maker's name that happened to be the same as the designer...It's all comming together now hahaha Thanks

And remember! "Schinkle" or "Schinkel" is never to be confused with "Anton Schenkl's Nachfolger" mm27 or even "Otto Schickle" tied to MM133!!! LOL!
Great questions You have asked here Ryan!
