    EK2: Maker/Type question

    Hello my friends.

I have had this EK2 in my collection since 2003. Bought it for 60 €. It´s my first orginal 3rd reich item. I´m wondering if you guys can tell me who is the maker of that one?

    Some info.. Wide: 44.11 mm - Height: 47,60mm & Weight 19,80 g

It's an original EK II in standard design, which was used by 15 - 20 maker's.

It's an original in my eyes! Could you tell me the maker's number stamped on the ring?

If there would be number stamped on ring I would not ask here

Why are some EK´s marked and others not?

Was it because early crosses where not marked and only late war where marked? Or some makers just didn´t not marked there awards?

                  Correct on both counts.

A nice original with the S&L type frame. Unfortunately, as Daniel says, this type was used by several different makers so identifying it to one particular maker is nigh on impossible.
