Close up of the date would be helpful. I do like what I see from here.

I don’t see any problem with it ..I bet it’s been either washed or was soaking wet at some point and that’s why it looks puffy and why the back paper looks like that. That could be what’s throwing you off.
That back shot has more of a Blue color showing so ..I'd say Luft

I think it is luft too. If you can get a real close up of the date that would be the most help, Need to see the nines.

                I would say that's a Heer background.

Looks like a keeper to me. I agree with Leroy that the front view clearly says Heer.

It is original. It is Heer.

Many of these nice crosses had a purple backing cloth. The purple cloth can be found on Heer, Luft, etc. crosses.

                    It is a nice one!

Looks good – from the front close up I can now see more of the Green showing and I can also see that the Blue/purple tint was coming from the 2nd layer cloth …from the back shot I thought it might have been un faded front Luft material but it’s not. These were 3 layer ..Top Fabric (Color of Service) -2nd layer tighter weave base material to hold embroidery and 3d layer back Paper to seal Threads in place and prevent chafing.
