    Ben
I can't read the discussion on that site, or see the pics
was there any actual proof that this clasp is bad? or was it based on looks?
    regards

Jon, there was no proof it is bad.

But a COA is no proof that it's good either.

The conclusion was based on the looks, and those who replied, are all advanced collectors.

What else then the looks can it be based on??
Usually a piece is judged from pics, and usually that is enough.

      Best regards,
      Ben

I would like to get a final verdict on this badge. Should I take close ups of anything at all? I can lift the ribbon a bit and take some pictures of the reverse if that would help?
        Kind regards,
        Giel

Giel, I stick to my opinion, even with these pics.
Jon will most likely stick to his as well.

I have no proof, just my gut-feeling, and the opinions of fellow-collectors on Militaria Fundforum.
And for the COA: over the past months we have seen a fake ek2 clasp (the L/16, L/4 etc fake then everybody should know by now) an L/12 marked copy of the unknown maker, and an L/57 .
These were sold as original or came with a COA.

                            Best regards,
                            Ben

Ben, please don't talk about the COA, I don't give a damn about it, it can be cut into thousand pieces if it was for me.

Just hoped that we could get a final word on this clasp, as now it is doomed.
                              Kind regards,
                              Giel

Giel, have you read the discussion on MFF?
I don't know if you did, but it obviously didn't change your mind.
The reason that I mentioned the COA was that I have seen it happen before with some other items I wasn't to keen on.

It is still not good to me, that's why I asked you to put it up for discussion.
                                Jim doesn't like it either.
Jon believes in it, obviously you believe in it as well.

I don't think it is doomed, it is controversial.
That has happened to some other items before, and it will happen again in the future.

The main problem is, that many advanced collectors are no longer active on WAF, and that is a shame.
When it gets a bit complicated hardly anyone dares to give his / her opinion.....

                                Best regards,
                                Ben
