Looks ok to me. It's an early piece I'd say.

You'll have to look on the big ring for a stamped maker number. Some don't have a number, which is not a problem but wo the number it's almost impossible to tell the maker.

hi Jeremiah, i think Frank has summed it up pretty well, looks like a nice quality, early period piece, without makers mark i couldnt tell one maker from another! maybe someone else can, but a good one -Nigel

It's a lot harder to identify the maker of a KVK2, because there is no pin or screwback hardware to match to known makers.

Yeah. That's a problem. I have few KVK's myself and it's hard to tell even if compared with pics...I think if there were no differences in production of one maker You just have to be patient- maybe someone have the same one with maker mark. What I can tell- it's not a "88" and not a "65" . I'll try to compare them with KVK with swords too (I have few marked). I don't know if it's a help or rather making a mess, but ....it's fun
