Boxed EK1 spange

Hi Guys,
would you please give me your opinions on this spange. This is the only
picture I have of it. I'm looking at buying it but I still have a tough time
telling good from bad.

Look closer

I dont believe the badge in question is definitely this same fake.
The gap between the year and the border is different. The eagle
on the floch fake has 'parrot head' look, yet his has a very sharp grin to it. The first feathers beginning at the neck are definitely not the same.

I'm not going to go so far as to say his is genuine, because I only own one, but I will say that his is not necessarily the floch fake.

I cannot follow your comparisons, what you think is different is due to angle, lighting, shadow and different patina. The two badges shown in this thread are the same design and I have never seen an original spange with that design. It is IMO unique for Floch.

A reverse picture would make this instantly clear.

This was being sold on E-bay by a dealer who we've discussed in Imperial
concerning some very questionable EKs.

All it took was for 1 person to have doubts about it for me to bail.
Once again the forum has saved my a@#
