    Ek1 + Spange 1957 Combination?

    Hello,
    this is a combination of an 1957 EK1 with a 1957 EK1 1914 Spange.
It is made of Feinzink and is a ONE-piece (frames, core and spange are all together in one piece) item.
What I find 'strange' is that the EK1 has a 1939 core in stead of a 1914 core.

    Is it a fantasy-piece?
I would be most grateful if you give your opinion on this badge.

    Regards,

      bizarre!

very strange as the '39 EK1 would not have had a spange attachment. The 1914 EK1 could use a '39 award spange, but a '39 spange with a '39 EK1?? I think not. Most likely some early fantasy/repro attempt.

        repro attempt?

Could 'they' have been that stupid, to make a repro with the 'wrong' combination, in one piece and in Feinzink?
It is certainly of age, the Feinzink is corroded.

The whole thing -- everything? -- is one piece, and the Spange is off-center? Maybe it's a mistake.
(And sure! "They" could have been that stupid! )

Yes indeed, the spange is 'placed' off center on the EK. It must have been fabricated on a Monday morning.
