If you read the "Souval Frame Article" It says that R. Souval made reproductions of third reich awards back in 60´s and 70´s, Including EK1.

I just thought that deler in Hamburg sold "Orginal military medals".. I guess I was wrong

              Hello again,

Souval continued to make EK after the war. He also made thousands during the war. You may benefit from reading more on Souval EK.

              Regards,
              Stu

He did make medals during the 60's and 70's but also before May 1945. As far as I can see this EK1 is an original example of a wartime manufactured cross, if someone can tell me if I'm not seeing it correctly please let me know.

You ARE seeing it correctly. Many people tend to forget that Souval was a legitimate wartime manufacturer with its own LDO number.

Stu has tought me some of the fine points of the wartime Souval crosses, and at one time had a very fine collection of examples by this maker!
He hits the Nail on the head hard with His statement, "We are all learning"

This makers crosses stand out when compared side by side with other makers! They have some fine qualities! Just re read the fine article here, and learn to tell the difference between wartime and post war Souval offerings!
This makers crosses can be often found at great prices!

Even the most advanced collectors among us are still learning things (I've got a long way to go to get to advanced!).

Am I correct in saying that Souval was a Swiss manufacturer working in Germany during the Third Reich period, and that his early post war awards were never intended to deceive anyone, for example, his RKs being clearly marked on the front of the frame , and DKs and wound badges with the 'cut out' C clip - features never found on TR awards. It's only later that his items become confused with original WWII items?
