There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of these EKs. All are good, original examples and there is no doubt about it. I suggest the buyer is directed to this thread and if he or she has any questions they should make them known and the members here can put their mind to rest.

Thanks for all your confimations. As told to the buyer I was sure but everyone can be wrong or fooled one day.. I could have missed something...

I forwarded the link to the buyer, hope he will then be fully satisfied !
then thanks again for your kind help
        Best,
        Michael

I hope so too, they shouldn't be embarassed as everyone had to start learning somewhere and if they can point out their concerns it might help educate others down the line.

I wonder what the buyer was smoking? They are all really nice crosses.

Could the guy have changed his mind, and just needed the money back because times got tight , maybe too afraid to say so...or maybe cherry picked the bunch for the best cross, or possibly found another cross or two cheaper that were marked examples elsewhere, or even got bad advice from a fellow collector who said those two are fakes, ill sell you two originals for less, so send em back saying they are fakes ? ? only the buyer knows for sure.

Id say if the same crosses are the ones you sold, and are original, there doesnt need to be a refund, now if the story changes, and its one of the senarios aforementioned , then that could be understandable, but the guy should be forthright about it ...unless you were selling the 3 as a package deal. Id say have them all sent back at his cost and expense , and before you refund in full... make sure they are the exact same ones sent to the buyer, then refund, and refuse to deal with that buyer henceforth again at any time in the future, maybe even post his name to warn others about his practices only if they are totally original, and forum tested to be originals same as sent, and thats not the true reason. It also depends on how long after the sale he contacted you back about it, as that does enter in unless you have another arrangement for time.

If they are truly fakes, and not the classic switcheroo... then a refund is in order, and scratch the other suggestions. Just have him level with you as to why he says they are fakes. I dont see anything wrong with the ones posted here. Will the buyer agree in writing on the thread that these are truly the same crosses? Sounds like just a case of cold feet, but i may be wrong, its up to you to find out.. I have many crosses that are good that came right out of the vets bringbacks that are not marked, so it will be interesting to see what transpires in this dilema.. Best wishes on a successful resolution to all parties concerned.

Here is a perfect example of why the Association Member annual fee is the best $25 ever spent by collectors!

Glad to hear this was resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

These three EK2s is all look well . Maybe the first one's 1813 is too low . I will check book to find if some example is like this .
