    finally and utterly
    the L/12 myth is over
    and they're being sold as what they always were, fakes...
    always have a soft spot for these, as one was my first repro!

                      I doubt I'm revealing any secret when I say Manion's has a reputation for seldom knowing good from bad, and sometimes bad from good (I say this as a long-time member of their auction site). I'm not saying you've made the wrong call on your spangen, but using Manion's as your source might be seen by some as a somewhat dubious discovery.

                            yes, I'm familiar with Manions
                            I'm also familiar with these spangen
                            I've been trying to spread the word that these are fakes for quite a while
                            seeing one finally described as a fake, from another source rather than me, seemed quite refreshing and worth a mention
