      2. German version of the German Cross book
      3. English version of the Kriegsmarine book by Sascha Weber
      4. A "table top picture book" with stunning pictures of "'everything" Third Reich.
      5. Iron Cross 2nd Class
      6. "The 1957 Versions" by Peter Wikvist

      Not necessarily in that sequence....

... and I still think that I should do a price guide, with all variants and in full color, several volumes. Like: Orders, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Army, Political, ....

Does that mean the book you are starting now is the EK1 series only?

And what about the "Honor Roll certificate" and Clasp, an award that stands just below the Knight's Cross.... Oh well, we will have to keep looking at Gordon's book.

          Cheers,

Yes, "only" EK1 and Spange 1. Together with George. It is a big task! The EK2 books will be with George also.

I'm certainly looking forward to receiving my German Cross book. And, in great anticipation regarding the EKI and EKII books! Very much needed books! A LARGE undertaking, I am sure.

When you think about how many pages of info there were for just the few DK makers ... then realize how many EK1 makers and the details describing the flaws and core characteristics that identify the various manufacturers ... it only makes sense that the books need to stick to one grade at a time.

That is exactly the point. Unless one wants to bring out a book in the "old style", which we certainly will not do!

I also think that there is a need for a Kriegsverdienstkreuz book. For the simple reason that I can write down the name of the order without getting a knot in my fingers!

Must be almost as difficult to pronounce as it is to spell

Dietrich, go back to your desk and work on the EK1 book.

Guess there will be a "few" more books that I "must have"

                                Dietrich,

I received my book on the German Cross yesterday, and have to say it's a fine work. I especially like the phototography work throughout the book. Your photos make identifying each maker's cross very easy. Thank you for this much-needed work!
