EK1 Question

Hello all, i am looking at a ww1 EK1 pin back to purchase it is vaulted and the entire piece looks to be made of brass and has been plated.
i have seen one like it for sale before can anyone coment if these were issued?

Thanks for the reply, no the one im looking at is a WW1 1st class.
the cross has worn through on the outer edges through the silver and brass has been exposed.
