    Kriegsverdienstkreuz

Hello all, i am wondering about this kvk, if you guys can tell me anything about it if its real or not. It has no markings what so ever. Its a little bend, here and there. Pictures are coming if all goes well.

    Greetings tom

You have to join the Association to be able to post attachments.
And you would probably get a better and faster answer to your question in the "Crosses of the Wehrmacht Forum" just above this one!

I saw the cross on the TRF and i would consider it a reproduction.

The main thing i detected was the vein running through the oakleaves.

Also stipling and wreath loops were bad as well.

          Keifer,

Can you e-mail me pics of the cross, or direct me to them?
          Thanks!

              Okay, I found it.
While I can't speak for the originality of that piece, I would point out that center veins on the oakleaves of KVK wreaths are not necessarily a foolproof indication of a fake. Here's a "38"-marked KVK2w/s with veins.

                    I agree george,
In the case of the other award the veins just seem to be particulary evident.Your example they seem a lot more subtle or subdued

The medal just didnt give me that "happy to have"feel.
