EK11 Ribbon, real or fake

I purchased this length of ribbon as genuine some time ago.

Can I have your opinions on it please.

From what I see of the edge of the weave, I don't like it. Supposed to make small "loops" along the edge from the type of weaving.

Karl has called it right, the weave and absence of the small loops would make me doubt it is an period made ribbon.
I took this pic to show the safety pin but it does show the weave of the ribbon clearly.....
Safety pin looks ok though!

Les, there is one test, cut a small piece of string off and burn it. If it melts it is fake, if it burns to ash then it was made using original thread. This does not make it original but an indication as to what type of thread was used. Jim

I did the burn test and it burns leaving ash.
