BTW, Eddie is maybe a novice in this hobby for now, but he is learning very fast and smart too. I know him for.. how long Eddie? like 25-30 years? OMG we are getting old! Anyway, soon he is going to be one of the real experts, I guarantee, I know him for a long time!
We know each other since 1981 so we got 28 years behind us i dont know about you but am getting younger every year

I'd buy this cross for $2,000.00 based on these photos.

It arrives and there is a chunk missing out of the enamel on the top arm of the swastika. Would it be a good decision then?

I am with you here Darrell. I would like to see the whole front straight on. And that goes for all items I buy.

Hey guys i will never buy it before i will see the whole thing.
The seller is waiting on its arrival and he is going to provide me with more images
the cross cost over $2000 but looks like in good condition.
i hope is going to be good.
            regards,

Nothing personal against the buyer or seller of any deal. If you know the person and have faith they will make good on promises, go for it. but I guess it's just the paranoia in me. I've seen so many guys get burned with medals that had crappy pictures that did not show the whole badge.

My premise .... "If there is a part of the badge not showing in the picture ... there is a reason why". If you follow that thought, and demand "complete" "clear" pictures of the "entire" badge, you will never be disappointed in what you receive.

Good for you Eddie. You must be like me. I don't have money to throw away on gut feeling or assumptions

I can't help but thinking of Giel's recent experience. He bought an IAB that had a picture of the Swastika covered up by a piece of tape or paper. When he received the badge ... guess what? There was no swastika. NEVER assume anything.

                  Hi Eddie,

I've beem reading this discussion with much interest. IF a seller wants to sell something AND has nothing to hide WHY doesn't he supplies good pictures? HOW much effort is it to take out a camera take 2 pictures and earn $2000?

I am with Darrell. Nothing is sure, based on these photographs. Keep your money and buy from someone which is able to take photographs.

                  Just my advice,

                  Best regards and Good luck,
                  Michel
