Early EK2 Spange?

I have a spange in my collection that I first thought may be a fake, but then found what looked like a similar one in Gordon Williamson's book. Is this an early-war spange? If so, which manufacturer made it? Thanks. -Ger

yes, it's a 'first pattern' early spange. Made by L/57 no doubt (compare to the 2nd pattern L/57 marked spangen)
all unmarked
There are two dies, one with 'feather viens', one without. Yours is without viens, and the more common of the two. But still a rare beauty!
