Just do what you're doing now and the fever will either ease off or grow worse. You can just never tell the outcome until you experiment a little, do what you're doing.

One thing is for certain, the packeted Deschler horde EKII's will always be in great demand.

Hi All,

I have been chasing examples of each item of the Deschler Hoard and I am close to a complete set. From what I have read on various sites the hoard was discovered in 2006 (exact date ?), however I have not read exactly where it was found. My understanding is in a shop attic and should I assume in Munchen? Could someone provide the address of the building where the hoard was found? I have seen the pictures from the inside of the attic but never any of the outside of the building or it's location. It would be nice to have a complete thread which included this information. IMHO there is no way the hoard is fake and a complete set of minty Deschler items is a nice addition to any TR militaria collection.

The Deschler Factory

Hi All,

As I continue to chase examples of all crosses of the Deschler Hoard (thanks to Trevor and Aaron for the latest gems) I have sought additional information on the factory.

The original factory address is:

Deschler & Sohn, Wirthstraße 9
81829 München

Unfortunately, the factory has been demolished and is now an empty lot!

Several questions come to mind:

1) Was this building original to wartime and not altered after the war?

2) Can a member supply a wartime photo of the factory and a modern one prior to demolition?

3) Is this the building where the "famous" attic photos of the Hoard were taken?

4) Do the buildings of any wartime LDO manufacturers still exist?

Any assistance is appreciated.

There's a good book just out all about Deschler's history, factory and manufacture of the Iron Cross. It has photos of the factory, inside and out. You can buy it at pastbuy.net for about $30.
