I have seen pictures of a dead Rommel, and he was wearing his Generals uniform + KC, PLM and some badges. Or did they remove everything before placing him into the earth?

He was cremated so that nobody could ever find out his true cause of death by investigating the body.

I wasn't aware that Rommel received a Pilot/ Observer's badge in Gold with Diamonds? Is that accurate?

Steiner, Rommel was cremated so the awards could not have been buried.
