                      WHAH!

that spange is always unmarked, but we more or less accept it as a Deumer
a very nice 1st pattern spange

                      regards

yeah, I have the early pattern EK2s as:
                          the 'intermediate'
                          the 'juncker looker'
                          the 'L/57 looker'
and the 'other one' possibly Deumer

I think the 'possibly Deumer' came from a few old timers, and repetition. No proof, but probably because deumer always seems to be in on these things!

Do you think a Maybauer? head looks similar? and it would fit nicely with the early makers of the EK1spangen...

                          regards

                            Spange

I think it is a Meybauer, as the head and date are very close to my EKI early Meybauer. Jim

                              Hi,

the 1914 Ek1 has the deumer core (open 4). It looks post war (ww1 ) TR made.

is it magnetic? I own one which core is made from brass:
                              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=319801

Maybe a ww2 ek expert can identify the needle?

                              Best regards,
                              Michel
