EK2 in Rare Box

Thought I would share one of my favorite items. It is an EK2 in a paper box. On the cover barely visible is the printed iron cross. There used to be some mark above the cross, but it is illegible. Inside the box is a letter from the commander expressing his condolances to the parents of the soldier and noting his recognition for his service in Russia in August 1941.

Never seen a box like this before or since.
