Can you tell us why you believe it to be a copy?

            Thanks,
            Bob.

Here are some additional informations from the owner:

rms measure 54mm across, 3mm thick
Center disc is 18mm across, about 5mm thick
Ribbon measures about 44 cm long, 42mm wide
                Weight is around 37 gr.
Test showed the silver content to be "900"

                  Bob,
I don't like the formation of the numbers in the date and especially don't like the "quality of strike" I see, with poor pebbling and indistinct oakleaves. To me, it looks "soft" (not worn). Perhaps in hand, it might be better. I have had several of these (and, like a fool, let them all go years ago) and the ones I had were simply better than this. May not be the ironclad way to go, but that is my view.
                  Best,
                  Leroy

                          Agreed...the details look 'soft'

The examples in my collection are both Deschler pieces. They are marked on the bottom of the cross, not the suspension loop. Did other makers mark them on the loop? If not, that would give me cause for concern as well.

                          Best,

How do you know it is 900 silver?

The only tests I know will damage the item in some way. You can test rather easy for silver wash of an item. The same tests require you to put a rather deep scratch in it to test the inside.

Something you would not do to a real RKVKV

As I said: I am posting this for a member and I was told by him that a test confirmed that it is "900" silver. What kind of test and if the member got reliable info, I just don't know.
